LASH EXTENSIONS

Before Your Appointment

  • If you wear contacts, please make sure they are removed.

  • Please arrive makeup free to your lash appointment. Mascara and eyeliner residue can prevent the lash from obtaining a proper bond, leading to build up and poor retention.

  • Avoid consuming caffeine or large amounts of liquids before your appointment. Stimulants cause eyelids to flutter involuntarily as well as increasing the chances of a bathroom break during the appointment.

During Your Appointment

  • A consultation is performed before every Full Set appointment. We’ll discuss your expectations for your new look including the density, length and design of your lashes. This is the best time to ask any questions you may have or voice your concerns.

  • A complimentary lash bath is included with all Full Sets, otherwise your lashes will be prepped with a primer before lash application.

  • Clients will rest comfortably in a cozy recliner with their eyes closed for the duration of their service. Feel free to meditate, sleep, listen to a podcast, etc. during your full set as there is no talking allowed once the service begins. It's extremely important that the client is completely still while lashing is in progress.

After Your Appointment

  • Waiting for lash adhesive to cure is a thing of the past! The adhesive at Cocoa Lash has a curing time of 5-10 minutes instead of 24 hours. Just be careful not to use excessive force or pressure on your lashes.

  • Use your Cocoa Lash Cleanser daily to keep your lashes clean throughout the week.

  • Wait until your lashes dry completely before brushing them. Blow drying your lashes using the 'Cool' function will result in fluffier lashes for Volume and Mega Volume lashes.

  • Brush your lashes with a clean mascara wand daily. Use soap and water to keep your lash wand clean or change it out once a month.

  • Use oil-free skincare products and makeup remover.

  • Use liquid liner over pencil. Pencil liner leaves residue in the root of the eyelashes making it impossible to remove.

  • Avoid curling, rubbing or picking at your lash extensions.

  • Apply eye creams, moisturizers, serums, etc. around the eye area sparingly. Remove any residue that wasn't absorbed.

  • Sleep on a satin pillow case to avoid friction on your lash extensions while you sleep.

  • Maintain your lashes by booking your next appointment every 2-3 weeks.

LASH LIFTS

Before Your Appointment

  • If you wear contacts, please make sure they are removed.

  • Please arrive makeup free to your lash appointment. Mascara and eyeliner residue can prevent the lifting solution from penetrating the lashes, resulting in poor or uneven results.

  • Avoid consuming caffeine or large amounts of liquids before your appointment. Stimulants cause eyelids to flutter involuntarily as well as increasing the chances of a bathroom break during the appointment.

During Your Appointment

  • If this is your first time getting a Lash Lift at Cocoa Lash, a consultation will take place before the appointment. I’ll walk you through the process from start to finish and answer any questions you might have.

  • A complimentary lash bath is included with Lash Lifts to ensure that your eyes are prepped before application.

  • Your eyes will be closed as a rounded silicone shield is glued onto the eyelids. The lashes will be glued back onto the shield, straightened and separated for clean results. The lift solution is applied and removed, a setting solution will be applied and removed, if a tint is scheduled, this will also be applied and removed, followed by nourishing oil to release the lashes from the shield.

  • Clients will rest comfortably in a cozy recliner with their eyes closed for the duration of their service. It's extremely important that the client is completely still while lashing is in progress.

After Your Appointment

  • Avoid getting your lashes wet and makeup products for the next 24 hours.

  • Apply a nourishing oil like castor oil or coconut oil 3-4 days a week to keep lashes moisturized.

  • Avoid rubbing the eyes.

  • Avoid high heat and steam for the next 24 hours.

  • If you decide to use mascara, a non-waterproof mascara is recommended.

  • Brush your lashes with a clean mascara wand everyday.

  • Apply eye creams, moisturizers, serums, etc. around the eye area sparingly. Remove any residue that wasn't absorbed.

  • Avoid sleeping on your stomach if possible.
